World Intellectual Property Day

Today we celebrated World Intellectual Property Day at School of Engineering And Technology.  

 It was celebrated with everyone followed by the events like debate competition, Essay writing, Drawing, Slogan writing. 

There were having many participants from local schools. Those all were very amazing guys.

Most of the people are unfamiliar to this term Intellectual Property (IP).

Intellectual Property can be defined as the creation of the innovative things by someone such as literary, designs, symbols, movie, picture, gadgets or some new innovative technology.

The World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated annually at 26 of April. This event was established by the world intellectual property organisation (WIPO) in 2000 to raise awareness of how patients, copyrights, trademarks effect our life and to celebrate creativity and contribution.

Now let us simplify the terms patients, Copyrights, trademarks and how they affect us.

First of all Patients are an exclusive rights granted for an invention i.e. patent owner having right to decide how or whether the invention can be used by the others. In exchange for this right patient owner will provide the technical information about the invention to the public in the published patient document.

Copyright is the legal term used to describe the rights of a creator over his invention, content or any other material.

And Trademarks are the symbols which are used to distinguish between different goods from one enterprise to other.

Why we use all these messy things ?

Ok now let me explain with an example;

Suppose Sam had created software which can analyse how much people are there inside a room with a compatible hardware. And he opened this info publicly. After some time he found that software in the market having some price tag. And it is sold at a good price but the inventor i.e. John is not getting a thing.

To prevent this type of thing Intellectual Property(IP) Day is celebrated to create awareness among peoples. Because if John had used copyright and had patented that software, the situation would have been some other.

Now you have known that  copyright, Patients and trademarks are used to prevent the invention of the original creator from stolen out. So in case that invention comes in the market then the inventor could get the price for his work.

So these all things are very very important for us especially engineers and designer and all the  inventors.

We have various examples in the history how inventions were stolen out and the original creator was unable to do anything.

But now we must aware our self and our friends from being cheated.

So today we had celebrated this day . There were school guys who had a great debate at this topic. They all were trying to explain at this complicated topic.

Even I did not have known these topics before this day.

But today I learned and aware about this type of things .

 I hope readers will also try to understand this terms and will aware everyone.

A New Beginning

Yesterday I had a visit to my friend at National Institute Of Technology (UK) and there I found that he got an offer for internship From H.R of LG Electronics. He was contacted through email.

It was as a new beginning for him.

 He is so much crazy about robotics that he missed his internal exams. Currently he is a student of National Institute Of Technology (UK) and still one more year to complete his engineering. And at this phase he got this great opportunity.

This was happened due to his video which he uploaded at YouTube. It was about a LED cube which he made by himself.

 I even remember his words “I had studied all the basics of robotics, I can even make a humanoid”.

Now he will be able to learn new things and maybe he will make a humanoid.

At National Institute Of Technology (UK) there were many students like him who got such type of amazing offers. I was amazed totally. They were all those who were casing their interest.

And as I am also an engineering student of Garhwal University so I felt that if there are such good and amazing talented one’s then why there is crises of such ones in our college?

I had rumors about people who are talented here at our college. 

So this blog is especially dedicated to them, to make them aware what their talent can do. Just follow your talent, do not let it die.

At least you have your field of interest known. Otherwise here are many ones who are only focused on marks and all.

May be this is due to environment that students here forgot to talk about new ideas and new creative things.

I know well that our college students have amazing talent but it is hidden somewhere. 

There are many people in my class who had an amazing mind. They solve questions easily; they understand the problems and Technical scenarios easily.

About me I am low guy at engineering. I am low at studies, always have fear of mathematics. I take a large time to understand the things, and worst I forgets these things easily. So I am not going to be an engineer in future. I have planned something different for me and I know I will succeed one day.  

But still I felt that Why we are behind. Why not our college guys got such internship emails. I know they all have amazing talent.

Maybe this is due to lack of information. So I took a little pain to write this blog to aware our guys.

Just make the use of all the resources we have. Internet is the biggest thing we all have. Just use YouTube, Facebook and all other social networks to show your talent. Don’t let it die, don’t hide it just show it as it will make your life.

If you have such cool talent then start working on it. Don’t waste your time. Share your ideas with your friends. Try to realize it.
